Monika Mogi [Hatsu Yume] : モニカ・モギ「初夢」

Starting from January 10, Monika Mogi モニカ・モギ will be having her first Japan solo exhibition at ROCKET Shibuya Tokyo. The 21 year-old Tokyo-based Japanese-American photographer has worked with a wide range of brands, magazines and publications such as NYLON Japan, American Apparel and GINZA magazine. Her work has a rich unique style to be called her own and definitly captured manys' attention. Mogi has her work shown in various exhibitions world-wide and at The Ardorous, an online female artist platform. Now living in London, Mogi is also the founder/ creator of her online zine, Baiser Mag. Hatsu-Yume「初夢」as the theme of the exhibition captures Japan's unique package food. It becomes the motif of the image created from the perspective of Monika. Female being one of her popular subject in her work is often manifested with the style of images, movies and dramas from Showa era. During the exhibition, Zine, T-shirts and sponsor "TROUBLE PEACH" would have its mini WEB boutique set up! Monica portrait photo session is also scheduled to be held. Gar&Mann:L has been a long term fan of モニカ・モギ and her work, we congrats her to her first solo exhibition in Japan and at the same showcase some of our favourite モニカ・モギ pieces. It is without a doubt an exhibition not to be missed.
