PARK (Promoting Artists | Redefining Kulture), the socially conscious art and fashion organization, returns with luxury fashion and art show PARKLUXE on October 1, 2016. PARKLUXE 2016 presented by Bankers Hall will showcase some of Canada’s premier high end fashion designers and performance artists in a brand new venue. The event will feature in-season luxury runway collections with an opportunity for attendees to meet the designer and purchase their designs directly off the runway. Unlike many other fashion events, PARKLUXE strives to connect designers directly to their consumer target audiences.
This year, PARKLUXE will not only bring together great creative minds and talent, but will also give guests an opportunity to explore Calgary and its distinct developments, including this year’s new event venue. PARKLUXE will be hosted at newly opened Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre located in Calgary’s East Village, adding extra edge and flare to an already dramatic and entertaining production. Studio Bell links Calgary’s musical history with the opportunities of the future. It amplifies the love and unique culture that music embodies and promotes the importance of the Canadian musical culture. The guests of PARKLUXE 2016 will enjoy a unique opportunity to visit this exciting new venue, explore the most amazing exhibits, and be part of the first major runway show in the space.
For the first time ever, the PARKLUXE runway show will be set to live musical performances. The show will feature collections from Paul Hardy (Calgary), Malorie Urbanovitch (Edmonton), Okakie
(Vancouver), YEAR of the RAM (Regina), and Lauren Bagliore (Calgary). PARKLUXE will also feature pop-up shop activations by local favourites House of Nonie (Calgary) and Anneke Forbes (Calgary).
